The whole school gathered together in the hall for a special final assembly of the year. 6th class with their teacher Mrs McMenamin led the assembly. They shared their favourite memories of primary school, read poems and sang a lovely song. Ms. Magee presented each 6th class pupil with a silver coin to remember their time at Convoy Joint NS. We wish the nine 6th class pupils all the best as they leave Convoy Joint NS and move to the Royal and Prior.
We said thank you and goodbye to Ms. McClintock who taught 3rd and 4th class for the year.
We also surprised our principal, Ms. Magee, with a special presentation as she is retiring at the end of this school year. Pupils from various classes read memories they have of Ms. Magee throughout their years here. She was presented with a rose from every class, the teachers and SNAs. She opened various small presents that will be useful and enjoyed during her retirement.
The Board of Management also presented Ms. Magee with a beautiful bunch of flowers and expressed their gratitude to her for all she has done for Convoy Joint NS during her 35 years here.
